About Axel

Last updated:

Axel is built by James McMullen, a solo developer and skater in Perth, WA, Australia.

Why Axel exists

Axel helps adult beginners, returning skaters and recreational skaters explore technique resources, log practice, track skills with animations on beginner tiers, and notice blade sharpening intervals. It complements skating lessons; it does not replace qualified instruction or formal testing.

Axel: Figure Skating

Axel: Figure Skating is a figure skating learning and practice companion. Explore 159 skills across 24 progressive tiers with technique tips and tutorials, skill animations on Basic and Novice tiers, session logging, blade-hour tracking with a warning when blades are due, and practice video you can attach to skills for analysis.

Available on iOS, Android.
